Ragnar Relay Race - June 2013

I had the chance to run the Ragnar relay race with 11 of my coworkers in June 2013. If you don't know what the Ragnar race is, it is a 200 mile race from Logan Utah to Park City Utah. You participate in teams of 12 people and each person runs 3 different legs of the race. We finished in just under 36 hours! It was extremely grueling and exhausting, but so much fun!

We were split into 2 vans. I was in van #2.
Here is my group before we started our first runs of the race...

Modeling our night running gear.
My van had to run in the heat of the day and the cold of the night!

This was just before I ran my first leg of the race (5 miles).

Here we are meeting up with van #1 at the Snowbasin checkpoint. My van was finished with all of our first runs and we were going to try and sleep while van #1 ran their second runs...

This was where we slept. We only got about 1.5 hours of sleep in 2 days. I had to work the night before the race and so I got only 1.5 hours of sleep in 3 days!! Yikes!
I was truly running on adrenaline. :)

This was just before I ran my third run (4 miles). My second run was in the middle of the night (4 miles straight uphill!)

At the finish line - YAY!!!

At home, showered, and rested with my gear. :)

Such fun memories and a bonding experience for sure!
